Refund Policy:
More than ten days before class: refund minus $12.50 administrative fee. There are no refunds less than ten days before class. In the event a class is cancelled you will be fully refunded or have the choice of class credit towards a future class.
Class exchanges are allowed when requested a minimum of three business days before class. The class exchange fee is $12.50.
There are no class exchanges allowed fewer than three business days before class, or after the class has been held. This policy allows us to register people who may be on the waitlist for a class, and to schedule our instructors accordingly.

Introduction to Digital Photograhy Field Workshop
This class is perfect for the beginning digital photographer. During the course of the workshop you will learn how to set all the basic controls on your camera, as well as understanding the important menu items and shooting modes available. We'll focus on strategies for improving your photography, including how to achieve perfect color, how to capture the decisive moment, and how to improve the quality of your photographs.

The Ft. Point Complete HDR Workshop - Start to Finish
Explore the exciting world of HDR photography in this comprehensive workshop. The first half of the day will be on-site at San Francisco's historic Fort Point National Historic Site capturing a wide variety of HDR subjects. Learn the best strategies for visualizing, evaluating, and setting up the technical parameters of the shoot including the limitations of combining multiple exposure values in a single image. Fort Point offers a unique environment for an in-depth exploration of HDR photography both in the architecture and the stunning landscapes of the San Francisco Bay.
After we capture the morning shoot, we'll return to the Future Light calssroom to spend the afternoon processing and perfecting your HDR files.
I am pleased to announce that John Omvik from Unified Color will join us for this workshop. John brings his years of experience in shooting and processing HDR files and will present a complete workflow using Unified Color's new award winning Expose 2 software. Complete Adobe Lightroom 3, Part I - Organize and Share
Digital photography lets you take thousands of low-cost images. The only problem is storing and organizing them for fast, easy access. A well-designed system lets you make the most of your digital images and avoid chaos and frustration.
This workshop covers the Library, Slideshow and Web modules. You will learn how to design a logical file structure, build an efficient backup system, create an easy-to-use naming structure, and use “metadata” to simplify tracking images from program to program. Integrate image management into your workflow using Adobe Lightroom software and learn how to implement an advanced keyword system for tracking the content of your images.
Learn how to manage Collections to organize your images. We will also cover the Slideshow and Web modules in greater detail, including the use of custom templates for unique and powerful automatic web design. Learn how to set up a web server to post your images online for personal or client review.

Complete Adobe Lightroom 3, Part II - Develop and Print
Complete Lightroom Part II covers the Raw conversion tools and Print module. We focus on maximizing the quality of your images in the Develop module, with a detailed explanation of each toolset, including the new selective control with the Adjustment brush. Learn how to set-up batch processing, roundtrip editing of images from Lightroom into Adobe Photoshop CS5, and working with virtual copies of your original files.
We will also demonstrate a color managed print workflow from start to finish. Build custom templates for the Print module, understand custom print profiles, and use Adobe Lightroom with dedicated printing software.
It is recommended that participants have a thorough understanding of the Library module and database structure of Lightroom before taking this class.

Learn the basics of editing digital images with Adobe Photoshop in this three-hour intensive workshop for beginning digital photographers. This is the first workshop in the Photoshop for Photographers series.
Photoshop for Photographers 2: Mastering Layers & Selections
In order to harness the power of Photoshop's advanced editing features, you need to learn the skills necessary for creating precise selections. This class gets you up to speed quickly through hands on projects demonstrating pro level selection techniques. You will learn how to create multi-layered files then resize, transform and alter individual layers.
Photoshop for Photographers 3: Layer masks and Adjustment Layers
Learn the basics of Photoshop Layers, Masking techniques, and refining corrections using Adjustment Layers in this intensive three-hour workshop. Prerequisite for this class: Photoshop for Photographers 2 or equivalent knowledge.
